Abstract

The article is devoted to the erratological aspect of the methodology of teaching translation. The translation is considered in the context of the final product such as abstract and gist translations. The attention is focused on the peculiarities of the translation assessment. The basic principles, which formed the basis for evaluation of translation, were determined. The criteria for evaluation of written translation are analyzed in detail and descriptors are given to them with types of translation mistakes. The proposed scale of assessment and points for the evaluation of the translation.
