The effective method of the yield of pea increasing in the steppe zone of Ukraine

Abstract

Global warming leads to a significant decrease in the yield of most crops in the steppe zone of Ukraine, which has led to large losses of moisture due to evaporation from the soil and leaf cover of plants. To prevent this, it is possible to make better use of winter-spring moisture and avoid the effects of high temperatures on plants in summer. Our research has shown that such requirements are met by winter sowing of pea, which allows to accelerate the growth of plants, improve their water regime, harvest 15-20 days earlier. Sowing varieties of Moroz and Enduro in mid-October makes it possible to get good seedlings in autumn, which survive the winter without significant damage. Глобальне потепління призводить до значного зниження врожайності більшості сільськогосподарських культур у степовій зоні України, що призвело до великого втрати вологи внаслідок випаровування з ґрунту та листяного покриву рослин. Щоб запобігти цьому, можна краще використовувати зимово-весняного зволоження та уникнення впливу високих температур на рослини влітку. Наше дослідження показало, що таке вимогам відповідає озимий посів гороху, що дозволяє прискорити ріст рослин, покращити їх водний режим, збір урожаю на 15-20 днів раніше. Посів сортів Мороз і Ендуро в середині жовтня дає можливість отримати хороші сходи в осінні, які переносять зиму без істотних пошкоджень
