Maslach Burnout Inventory – General
Qualification paper: 101 pages, 18 tables, 3 appendices, 31 bibliographic sources. Object of study: staff emotional exhaustion within the context of professional activity and the organizational environment. Subject of study: organizational practices and their relationship with the level of staff emotional exhaustion, as well as the psychological mechanisms and conditions underlying their preventive effect. Aim of the study: to provide a theoretical rationale for and conduct an empirical study of organizational practices aimed at preventing staff emotional exhaustion, and to identify the psychological and organizational conditions for their effective implementation. The study employs a combination of theoretical, empirical, and statistical methods. Theoretical methods (analysis, systematization, and synthesis of scientific sources) were used to examine the issue of emotional exhaustion and organizational practices for its prevention. The empirical research involved the use of the Maslach Burnout Inventory – General Survey (MBI-GS) to assess levels of emotional exhaustion, cynicism, and professional efficacy; an organizational practices questionnaire to evaluate workload, autonomy, support, psychological safety, fairness, development, and recovery opportunities; and a socio-professional questionnaire to determine the sample's key characteristics. The practical significance of the results lies in their potential application for improving organizational practices aimed at preventing emotional exhaustion and professional burnout among staff. The research findings can be utilized by managers, HR specialists, and practicing psychologists to develop employee psychological support programs, optimize workloads, foster a positive psychological climate, enhance organizational support, and create conditions for professional development and the replenishment of personnel resources.
