Total calcium metabolism and its fractions in the blood serum of clinically healthy lactating goats

Abstract

Goat farming is one of the rapidly developing sectors of livestock production worldwide. Over the past 50 years, the global goat population has increased by 240%, whilst the populations of other farm animal species have remained relatively stable (Nguyen et al., 2023). Interest in this sector in Ukraine has grown significantly due to the import of breeding stock, the establishment of new farms and increased demand for goat’s milk and its processed products (Fedorovych et al., 2022).Козівництво є однією з галузей тваринництва, що стрімко розвиваються в усьому світі. За останні 50 років світове поголів’я кіз зросло на 240 %, тоді як чисельність інших видів сільськогосподарських тварин залишалася відносно стабільною (Nguyen et al., 2023). В Україні інтерес до цієї галузі значно зріс завдяки імпорту племінних тварин, створенню нових фермерських господарств, а також підвищеному попиту на козяче молоко та продукти його переробки (Fedorovych et al., 2022).
