Abstract: Дана робота присвячена дослідженню особливостей перекладу семантичної категорії дієслів на означення переміщення за допомогою засобів пересування в романах Джоан Роулінг «Гаррі Потер». В дослідженні проаналізовано основні типи семантичних категорій мовних одиниць на означення руху, доповнено існуюче уявлення про мовні одиниці на означення руху в англійській та українській мовах. Окрім цього, окреслено особливості передачі мовних одиниць на означення руху ресурсами іншої мови (української) у перекладознавчому аспекті та визначено особливості перекладу цього пласту дієслів.
Description: This paper is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the translation of the semantic category of verbs to the definition of movement through means of transportation in Joan Rowling's novels "Harry Potter". The study analyzes the main types of semantic categories of language units for the definition of movement, supplemented the existing understanding of language units for the definition of movement in English and Ukrainian. In addition, the peculiarities of the transfer of language units to determine the movement of resources of another language (Ukrainian) in the translation aspect are outlined and the peculiarities of the translation of this layer of verbs are determined.
