| Abstract: | Телескопія є продуктивним способом словотворення, який динамічно розвивається. Ця словотворча модель активно використовується в мові реклами, економіки, політики, а також в сучасній англомовній художній літературі. Під час аналізу семантичних груп телескопізмів було виявлено, що основну групу утворюють телескопізми, де один з компонентів доповнює або уточнює значення іншого компонента і складають 48.8 % від загальної кількості одиниць. Телескопізми,загальне значення яких дорівнює сумі їх компонентів складають 30.5 %. Найменшою групою за чисельністю являються телескопізми, значення яких не визначається за допомогою їх складників і становить лише 20,7% від загальної кількості одиниць. |
| Description: | Telescopy is a productive way of word formation that develops dynamically. This word-formation model is actively used in the language of advertising, economics, politics, as well as in modern English fiction. Analyzing semantic groups of telescopes it was found that the main group consists of telescopes, where one of the components complements or clarifies the meaning of another component and accounts for 48.8% of the total number of units. Telescopies, the total meaning of which is equal to the sum of their components is 30.5%. The smallest group in number are telescopes, the meaning of which is not determined by their components and is only 20.7% of the total number of units. |
