| Abstract: | Дослідження присвячене одній із характерних особливостей сучасної англійської мови – телескопії. Телескопія динамічно розвивається як один із продуктивних способів словотворення та активно використовується у багатьох сферах життя. Мета статті – провести соціолінгвістичний аналіз нових телескопізмів сучасної англійської мови. Результати дослідження показують, що утворення телескопізмів пов’язане майже з усіма сферами життя англомовного суспільства: відпочинок, соціум, повсякденне життя, клімат, харчування, стиль, технології, спорт і культура, соціальні мережі. Розгляд даного матеріалу свідчить про домінування телескопізмів в наступних сферах життя: соціум, повсякденне життя, харчування, відпочинок, спорт та культура. |
| Description: | The study deals with the phenomenon of telescoping as a way of modern word formation. Telescopy is dynamically developing as one of the productive ways of word formation and is actively used in many areas of life. The study is aimed at exploring a sociolinguistic analysis of the new telescopes of modern English. The results of the study show that the formation of telescopes is connected to almost all spheres of life in English-speaking society: recreation, society, daily life, climate, nutrition, style, technology, sports and culture, social networks. The results indicates the dominance of telescopes in the following spheres of life: society, daily life, nutrition, recreation, sports and culture. |
