Abstract: З огляду на збройне протистояння української держави та постійні спроби уряду врегулювати конфлікт на Донбасі за допомогою будь-яких можливих засобів, рекомендованих міжнародним правом, у статті проаналізовано історичний розвиток концепції перемир'я та розуміння його сутності у різних конфліктах. Автор окреслює та пояснює основні на його думку фундаментальні питання, які мають бути включені до будь-якої угоди про перемир'я.
Description: Given the armed confrontation of the Ukrainian state and the constant attempts of the government to settle the conflict in the Donbass using any possible means recommended by international law, the article analyzes the historical development of the concept of the truce and understanding its essence in various conflicts. The author outlines and explains the main, in the author's opinion, fundamental issues that should be included in any truce agreement.
