Abstract: Стаття присвячена процесу становлення та розвитку інституту усиновлення в Україні як одного із істотних інститутів права. Його вивчали на основі аналізу нормативно-правових актів, архівних матеріалів та наукової літератури. У статті також були висвітлені передумови та основні етапи формування інституту прийняття на українських землях. Обґрунтовано місце та роль прийняття як інституту права протягом різних історичних епох.
Description: Article is dedicated to the process of the establishment and development of the institution of adoption in Ukraine as one of the essential institutions of law. It was studied on the basis of the analysis of legal acts, archival materials and scientific literature. The article also focused on the preconditions and the main stages of adoption institution formation on the Ukrainian lands. It was grounded the place and role of adoption as an institution of law throughout the different historical epochs.
