Abstract: На території України у природних умовах зростає дев'ять аркто-монтанних видів роду Salix: S. reticulate L., S. herbaceae L., S. retusa L. = S. Kitaibeliana Willd., S. myrtilloides L., S. alpina Scop. = S. jacquinii Host., S. hastata L., S. Starkeana Willd. = S. livida Wahlend., S. phylicifolia L., S. lapponum L. З них шість внесено до останнього видання Червоної книги України: S. alpina належить до категорії зникаючих, S. lapponum, S. myrtilloides, S. Starkeana – до вразливих, а S. herbacea, S. retusa – до категорії рідкісних. Асортимент аркто-монтанних верб у культурі обмежений. Різноманітність екологічних умов, у яких поширені аркто-монтанні верби, визначає як різноманіття їх життєвих форм, так і особливості морфологічної будови їх органів. Мінливі і пластичні за своєю природою аркто-монтанні верби швидко пристосовуються до життя в різних екосисте- мах, а в умовах культури ідеально підходять для створення альпінаріїв.
Description: On the territory of Ukraine nine arctic mountain species of the genus Salix in vivo grow: S. reticulate L., S. herbaceae L., S. retusa L. = S. Ktaibeliana Willd., S. myrtilloides L., S. alpine Scop. = S. jacquinii Host., S. hastate L., S. starkeana Willd. = S. livida Wahlend., S. phylicifoliaL., S. lapponum L. Six of them are included into the latest edition of the Red Book of Ukraine: S. alpina belongs to the category of endangered species, S. lapponum, S. myrtilloides, S. Starkeana are classified as vulnerable species, and S. herbacea, S. retusa belong to the category of rare species. The assortment of arctic mountain willows as a plant is limited. The variety of ecological conditions in which the arctic mountain willows are widespread, is defined either as the variety of life forms, or as the peculiarities of morphological structure of their body. Variable and plastic by their nature arctic mountain willows quickly adapt for life in different ecosystems, and as plants are perfect for creating rock gardens.
