Окреслено сутність понять «когезія» та «когерентність» як домінантних категорій характеристик текстів. Розглянуто засоби вираження лексико-семантичної когезії, яка забезпечується зв’язками між реченнями, утвореними за допомогою лексико-семантичного повторення. |
| Опис: | An adequate written translation can not be carried out without proper translation analysis of the original text material. The translation analysis involves identifying repetitions in the texts as a lexical-semantic means of ensuring cohesion between sentences, creating a network of lexical-semantic nodes and establishing a "semantic core" by defining central and marginal sentences. The question of repetition as a lexical-semantic means of ensuring cohesia in the texts was the subject of the research of S. Maksimov, M. Hoey and others. The problem of identification of repetitions, the creation of a network of nodes of lexical-semantic communication and the establishment of a "semantic core" were studied by I. Arnold, K. Belousova, S. Maksimov, M. Hoey and others. Since the researchers of lexical-semantic cohesiveness did not consider the features of its functioning in the texts of individual styles, the topicality of the study is due to the need to study lexical-semantic cohesions in texts of various functional language styles to create a powerful tool for further translation activities. The purpose of the article is to provide a linguistic characteristic of lexical-semantic cohesia. The task of the article is to study the essence of cohesion as a dominant categorical characteristic of multi-language texts and the means of ensuring lexical-semantic cohesia between sentences in texts of various functional language styles. An important type of cohesia in the text is lexico-semantic cohesia, which is provided by ties between sentences formed by lexical-semantic repetition. Following M. Hoey, we distinguish a simple lexical repetition, a complex lexical repetition, a simple paraphrase, a complex paraphrase, a reciprocal repetition and a substitution. Between sentences with the same lexical unit a bond is formed; if there are three or more bonds between the two sentences, a lexical semantic node or bond is formed. This approach allows us to highlight the central sentences in the text, which represent the "semantic core" of the text, and marginal sentences. In this regard, it is necessary to study the issue of identifying repetitions in the texts of various functional styles of language. The creation of a network of lexical-semantic nodes and the establishment of a "semantic core" by identifying central and marginal sentences require additional attention. |
